Grace has shared so many blessings with ACTS and the New Year is no exception. On Wednesday, January 13th, the Social Ministry Board was able to purchase 562 pounds of fresh produce and canned goods to be given out to families in our community. The ACTS staff is appreciative to be the recipient of all our food donations. Remember to bring in grocery bags and handle bags as these items are needed to carry food items home. Food donations and bags can be left in the blue bins in the church hallway. Contact Debbie Willemann ( if you have any questions.

This program was set up at Grace to give a quick response when one of our members comes across a person in need. Whether it’s a warm jacket or new sneakers, we have a system for quickly meeting those needs. Request forms, which are kept in the church office, are presented to either Debbie Willemann or Sherry Morse. If appropriate, we then call several Grace Members who have signed up with the Good Samaritan Program to help fill that need. We have a list of more than 16 members, so when a need arises we rotate names to donate monies to purchase what is needed. If you would like to be on the list of people for the Good Samaritan Program, please contact Debbie or Sherry.

We meet on Mondays from 9:00 am until noon in the multi-purpose room. Come join us and have some wonderful fellowship while making baby quilts for Care Net Pregnancy Center and prayer quilts for our own shut-ins. If you need more information, please contact Darlene Roth.

Grace continues to collect prescription and over-the-counter pill bottles every month for clinics in Africa.  Remember to remove all personal identifiable information on the prescription bottles.  All other labels can be left on. Deposit all pill bottles in the large blue container in the hallway. Please drop them at the church when you are comfortable to do so. If you have any questions, please contact Vicki Steinhibel or Debbie Willemann.

The Social Ministry Board would like to thank everyone who donated coats during our coat drive in October and November.  A total of 38 coats were collected and given to our sister congregation, Concordia Lutheran Church, for their community outreach program.  Pastor John McElvain from Concordia sincerely wishes to thank Grace for their generous donations to Concordia.  Grace Members opened their hearts and showed God’s love to the community around them.

The Men of Grace would like to thank the congregation for their support of the 2020 Angel Tree program.  All 45 wishes of the children were fulfilled this year!

The gifts were delivered to the Salvation Army week of December 6, 2020.

We wish you peace and joy this Christmas season.
